The Installer Voice: UK EV Charging 2026

Installers fit the chargers, carry the risk and talk to the drivers. Nobody asks what they think. This does.

The Installer Voice is an independent study of the UK EV charging installation market, led by Mark Pymm. Register your interest and we'll send you the survey in the next wave.

Owners, managers, office staff, employed installers and subcontractors all welcome.

    Where the market is going
When we say work providers we mean the companies that pass you installation work: charger manufacturers running install programmes (Ohme, Hypervolt, Pod Point and similar), energy suppliers (Octopus, British Gas and similar), lease and salary sacrifice schemes, aggregators and managed-service platforms (Qvanta, QMerit and similar), and national installers subcontracting work out. Not public charging networks like InstaVolt or Gridserve.

    Straight about who's behind it

Mark Pymm founded and scaled ChargedEV into the UK's largest dedicated EV installer before exiting. He now works as an independent consultant across the industry with installers, charger manufacturers, lease companies, energy and software businesses. No client sees individual responses. Everything published is anonymous. We share aggregated data, and we may share themes and comments, but nothing that could identify you or your business. Employees are never linked to employers.
